As a parent, you want your child to feel confident in Mathematics, understand what they learn in class, and achieve their academic goals. But what happens when Maths becomes a source of frustration, your child struggles with basic concepts, or hours of practice still don't translate into better results?
That is where I come in.
I am a Mathematics Educator passionate about helping learners overcome their difficulties with Maths by building strong foundations, developing conceptual understanding, and nurturing confidence one lesson at a time.
I work with learners across KS1–KS4, as well as students preparing for SATs and 11+ examinations. Whether your child struggles with basic arithmetic, finds word problems challenging, needs support with algebra, or simply needs extra guidance to keep up with schoolwork, I tailor my lessons to their individual learning needs.
My approach to teaching is simple: understand the child, identify the gaps, and make learning meaningful.
Rather than encouraging learners to memorise formulas and procedures without understanding them, I break concepts into manageable steps, use visual aids and relatable examples, and encourage active participation. This helps children understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works and how to apply it independently.
I understand that every child learns differently. Some need more time to grasp a concept, while others need the right explanation to connect the dots. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them without fear of being judged.
I believe that struggling with Mathematics does not mean a child lacks ability. Sometimes, the problem lies in gaps in foundational knowledge, ineffective learning strategies, or a lack of confidence. With patient guidance, the right support, and consistent practice, learners can make meaningful progress.
When you choose to work with me, your child receives:
Personalised Mathematics lessons based on their needs and learning pace.
Support in strengthening weak foundations and addressing learning gaps.
Clear, step-by-step explanations that make difficult concepts easier to understand.
Guided practice that encourages independent problem-solving.
A positive learning experience that builds confidence and reduces maths anxiety.
Support with schoolwork, assessments, and examination preparation.
My goal is not simply to help your child complete assignments or pass an examination. I want them to develop the understanding, skills, and confidence to approach Mathematics with a more positive mindset and become independent learners.
If your child needs extra support in Mathematics, I would love to help you identify their learning needs and create a path towards improvement.
Let's work together to help your child build stronger foundations, gain confidence, and make meaningful progress in Mathematics.
