My teaching approach is learner-centred, practical, and adaptable to the individual needs of each student. I begin by understanding the learner’s current ability, goals, challenges, and preferred learning style before planning lessons. I then use a combination of clear explanations, guided practice, questioning, interactive activities, real-life examples, and regular feedback to help students develop both understanding and confidence.
For online lessons, I make effective use of digital resources, visual materials, interactive exercises, and screen-sharing to keep students engaged. I also use differentiated instruction, adjusting the pace, level of difficulty, and teaching techniques according to each learner’s progress. Rather than simply giving answers, I encourage students to think critically, explain their reasoning, and develop independent problem-solving skills.
Professional Evidence
My teaching experience includes more than four years across classroom and online learning environments, teaching learners of different ages and abilities. I have taught English/ESL, Mathematics, Science, Music, and reasoning-based subjects.
I currently teach students online through Preply and have also worked with The Light Tutors, providing structured one-to-one lessons and monitoring learners’ progress. My experience includes preparing lessons, assessing understanding, identifying learning gaps, providing constructive feedback, and adapting subsequent lessons based on assessment outcomes.
I also have experience teaching students preparing for examinations and learners who require additional support with confidence, communication, and academic skills. My TEFL certification, classroom teaching experience, online tutoring background, and continued professional development provide evidence of my commitment to effective and professional teaching.
